Eba| How to Make Garri

Garri is a west African food made by frying cassava after many processes.

Garri can be eaten in not just one way, it can be enjoyed:-
  • As a snack-eating the grains, but make sure you drink water after eating it.
  • as a cereal- you know what I'm saying if you've taken Garri with milk and sugar on a hot day
  • Together with a other food like beans,moi-moi...e.t.c.
  • And then as the popularly known Eba enjoyed with many soup like-Efo riro, Egusi, Ogbono,Okro soup and lots more.
Making Eba is not that hard, you just have to be careful and go with the...what’s the English sef...the flow
You'll be needing four things:
-Garri
-Clean water
-A bowl
-Turning stick aka Omoorugun

Cooking Procedure:
  1. Bring a consumable amount of water to a boil and pour it in a bowl
  2. Pour in the Garri, so that it enters the bowl as dust and turning it with the omoorugun.
  3. Some people like their Eba hard and others soft. So pour the Garri according to your preference.                                                                   The more the Garri grains the harder it gets.
  4. Keep turning the Eba using the folding in method until it has a fine consistency
  5. Add more Garri if its too soft and just play with it.

Serve with different soup. Enjoy!
